Identify your plot before designing the view
DAMAC Hills includes golf-oriented residential projects, illustrated by DAMAC’s Melrose Estates project information. That does not mean every home overlooks the course. Send your cluster, plot plan and photographs in both directions so the design responds to your actual surroundings.
From inside the main rooms, identify what you would like to see more clearly and what needs screening. Keep private property boundaries distinct from any neighbouring open space when defining the works.
Balance openness and privacy
A continuous tall hedge is not the only way to create privacy. Consider which seating positions or windows need protection, how much width is available for planting and how that planting will develop. The right answer may combine lower planting with a more focused screen near a seating area.
Record existing trees and shrubs before making changes. Assess their condition and mature spread, and leave space for pruning and irrigation access. A narrow bed should not be specified only by the size of the nursery pot.
Plan a usable evening garden
Position seating where it connects easily to the house, then review shade and lighting as separate needs. A garden can have enough path light without illuminating every boundary. Discuss glare toward rooms and neighbours, as well as access for maintaining fittings.
